Season 31

The sky had no moon, the stars were barely seen. The weather showed signs of rainfall but nobody knew about it because the darkness of the night subdued the cloudy weather.

It seemed to Kenneth as if he was already dead because he had only but few hours to live. He hit the staring of his car hardly and rubbed his head vigorously. "Who must have taken away the baby from this car?!" he soliloquized and glanced at the gun.

Meanwhile, Nancy had forgotten about her pregnancy and pushed the door hardly because she knew that sooner or later Kenneth will notice the absence of the baby and he will come back looking for her. "It can't open, where is the key?!" she shouted.

"I don't know, check in the sittingroom.. Check.. Check anywhere!" Sandra responded.

Nancy rushed inside the sittingroom looking for the key. She found it very difficult to bend down due to the pregnancy. After fifteen minutes of searching, she found the key at a corner inside the kitchen. Then she hurried up the stairs to Sandra's room and began to open the door. Sandra once again saw her friend, they looked at each other and hugged. Suddenly, they heard the sound of Kenneth's car.

"Listen, your brother must not see me here otherwise I'm dead" Nancy told Sandra.

"What about my baby?" she asked.

"Your baby? Is the baby yours?"

"Yes"

"Don't worry, your baby is in safe hands" Nancy concluded.

As they were trying to rush down the stairs, Nancy stumbled and fell. Unknowingly to her, her necklace fell on the stairs. "Aahh.. My waist!" she shouted.

Sandra took a good look at her and found out that she was pregnant. "Oh my God! I'm so sorry!" she said and helped her stood up. They used the back door and went to the backyard.

Kenneth noticed that someone had entered into the house through the position of the gate. Nancy and Sandra watched him open the gate widely and drove inside. He rushed to Sandra's room immediately.

"We have to go now" Sandra told Nancy whose hand was on her waist. She made her put her hand on her shoulder and they quietly walked towards the gate.

Kenneth couldn't believe what he saw in Sandra's room. It seemed to him like a dream. "How can Sandra and the baby just vanished like that?" he thought. "Who'de fuck is responsible for this?! Sandra! Sandra!!" he shouted and rubbed his head vigorously. He quickly rushed down the stairs, but he stopped when he saw the necklace. He picked it to remember where he saw it before. He flashed back on the several occasions when he was with Nancy. "Nancy?" he said in a low voice. "Nancy is responsible for this!" he concluded and rushed outside into his car.

Meanwhile, Nancy and Sandra hurried up to the main road. The road was lonely and dark, beside it were bushes which one would not want to enter at that time of the night. Suddenly, they sighted the light of Kenneth's car from afar and they were forced to hide inside the bush. Their hearts beat faster as the car approached closer. Their heartbeat went back to normal after he passed. Nancy touched her neck and noticed that her necklace had gone.

"Where could Kenneth be going to now?" Sandra asked.

"My Necklace" Nancy said.

"What do you mean?"

"I think it fell on the stairs, and Kenneth might have seen it"

Sandra stared at her in thought. "So will he know it's yours if he sees it?" she asked.

"Yes! Because he has seen it on my neck several times, and my heart tells me that he's going to my house"

"Oh my God!" Sandra exclaimed. "What are we going to do now? We need to call...." she paused forgetting the name.

"Marvelous" Nancy helped her.

"Yes.. Do you have your phone there?"

"Let me check"

Meanwhile, Marvelous had been able to make the baby stop crying. She covered her with a new wrapper and danced around in the sittingroom. Suddenly, her phone rang.

"Hello, listen, you have to leave the house with the baby now!" Nancy said from the other side of the phone.

"Why? To where?"  Marvelous asked.

"Anywhere just leave the house!"

The line went dead.

Marvelous gathered more of her wrapper. She had only one place to go-Raymond's apartment. She was scared of meeting Amanda in the campus because it was late. Therefore, she began to close the door of their house.

Meanwhile, Kenneth was close. He turned his car to the direction of G-square resident. Marvelous sighted the light of the car and ran inside their neighbour's compound before Kenneth finally stopped in front of their compound. Marvelous's heart was beating faster as she watched him through an opening.

"Nancy! Nancy!!" Kenneth was shouting. He moved closer to the door and began to bang it. "Nancy!" he shouted again.

In other hand, Nancy and sandra had been waiting for a cab to go home with. As they waited, Sandra noticed a blood gushing out of Nancy's thighs. "Nancy you are bleeding" she said.

"Where?" she asked and followed the direction of her eyes to her laps. Then she began to cry.
