Everybody were moving in a hurry to the lecture hall. Karina in her jean trouser with books in her hand stumbled against a guy and the books fell on floor.
"I'm so sorry" the boy said and wanted to help her pick the books.
"Is okay, is my fault" Karina picked the books
"I'm Joseph but my friends call me Joe or Jojo" He stretched his hand.
"I'm Karina" She shook his hand in return.
"I hope you are going to lecture"
"Yes, thanks"
"Okay, see you around, Karina"
"Okay"
They departed to their various ways.
Karina gradually knew some of the places in UNN with the help of her female next door neighbour who she called friend. She had shown and describe her so many places in the school environment.
Some male students watched Karina as she walked into the lecture hall. Some made up their minds to get her while some imagined themselves making love to her in bed.
After long hours of lecture, Karina began to go back to her apartment. Anybody who sees her can predict she was a new and a novice in the school.
Three boys were sitting on a cemented seat close to the road where Karina was coming. They wore face-cap backwardly and a big jean trousers. One of them tied a red handkerchief round his head. There were flowers on the two sides of the road were Karina was passing. She sighted the boys-not too far from her and her heart skipped. The boys also saw and stared at her when she finally moved closer. One of them whistled at her but she kept moving without stopping.
"Hello, girl" He said aloud but Karina kept walking. She was shaking inside of her. It was obvious that secondary school life can be trace in her both physically and mentally.
"Guy, leave her, tomorrow is another day" One the boys said.
"The girl looks so innocent and beautiful"
"Yes, she must be good inside, you know what i mean" the boy concluded.

Karina entered her room and thanked God. She kept her books and wanted to make dinner. Alice, her neighbor came inside.
"Are you back?" She asked.
"Yes, I'm just coming in now"
"Welcome, i came and saw your door locked"
Alice sat down on the bed.
"Yes, i went for lectures"
"How was it?"
"Fine but.." Karina sat on a plastic chair.
"But what?"
"On my way coming back three boys where calling me but i refused to answer"
"Why didn't you answer?"
"Why should i answer them?"
"Babe, i have told you this is not secondary school. You are risking yourself from being raped. You should have found out what they needed to say. Is not a bad thing, but you, giving them a deaf ear means you regard them as bad boys. Though, they may be bad but, you shouldn't have..."
Karina listened with her two hands on the chair handle.
Alice continued, "They are different type of people in this school. You has the bad ones and good ones, there are even lesbians and gays. Many girls like to date coultists for protection while some have them as friends. You can decide not to follow any of them. So, you have to wise up and choose your friends wisely"
Karina was speechless.

Catherine decided not to tell her mother until she found out by herself. She came back from school and kept her bag. She picked up her phone to try Alex's number again.

Alex was in a building much more beautiful than the one at BMS. He was doing an assignment when his phone rang. He picked it up.
"Hello, Catherine"
"Good afternoon" Catherine greeted.
"No, is night here"
"Okay, sorry"
Alex sense that she wasn't happy.
"Baby, what's the problem?"
"Do you love me, Alex?"
"Of course i do"
"I want to tell you something"
"What's is it?"
"I.. I went to the hospital.."
"Hospital?!" Alex stood up. "Are you sick?" He asked.
"No, i.. I am pregnant"
Alex was silent and Catherine waited for his response.
"Hello, Alex" She called with shaking voice and tears began to pour out.
Alex noticed it and said, "Don't cry, dry your tears. He is my child and i will always be there for both of you. I love you. I will call you later"
Catherine suddenly dried her tears in joy. She was happy but afraid what the parents will do..
