Mr Nduka, Alex's father who leaves in U.S.A. insisted that Alex must come to the state no matter what. This was a difficult thing for Alex to do. He thought of how he will leave Catherine behind.
The mother just came back from work trying to get a rest.
Alex came out from his room looking moody.
"What's your problem this boy? Is it my fault your father insisted that you school abroad!?"
"Don't mind him!!" Rose shouted from her room and Alex looked at her door in anger.
"What's it, Alex?" the mother asked again.
"Is because of a girl!!" Rose shouted again.
"I will squeeze you if i get you!" Alex shouted at her looking at her door again.
"A girl? Who is she?"
"Catherine!" Rose shouted again.
Alex provoked and stood up.
"Get back here!" the mother shouted at him before he sat down. Meanwhile, Rose had locked her door.
Mrs Nduka knew that her son wasn't a kid anymore. She felt that it was the right time to talk about a relationship with him.
"Who is Catherine?"
"She's my friend"
"Is she why you don't want to travel?"
Alex went domb all of a sudden. His mother understood. She sat properly on the cushion.
"Listen my son, you can not compare yourself with a woman. Women grow faster than you thought and no woman will like to wait till her 30s before getting married. This friend of yours, i believe before you think of getting married, she is already in her husbands house with children. Some girls can wait for the boy they love, but they are hard to find these days.."
Alex listened attentively.
The mother continued, "If she truly loves you, she will wait until u are ready"
"Okay, mummy. Thank you very much"
Rose ran out from her room to her mum. She knew that if she doesn't come out at that moment, Alex would have done something to her.
"Mummy tell him not to touch me oh!"
"He will not touch you" She stood up and went into her room. Alex disdained Rose and walked into his room too.

Timothy picked up his phone and dialed Rose's number. He was shirtless with a singlet on his shoulder.
"Hello, i want to talk to you"
"When?" Rose asked.
"Today"
"Is everything okay?"
"Just tell me when to come or you come to my house"
"I will come to your house" Rose replied and the phone went dead. She wondered what the problem is.

It was her first time of visiting Timothy. She walked like a ghost into the compound. Mrs David saw her and wondered what such a beautiful girl doing in her compound.
"Good day, ma"
"Who are you my daughter?"
"I'm Rose, Timothy's friend"
"Really? Whose daughter are you?"
"Mr Nduka's daughter at BMS"
"Oh, Big Men's Street"
"Yes, ma"
"You are welcome. Meet him inside the house"
Rose walked majestically into the house. Timothy was already waiting for her in the parlour. She stopped and stared at him for a moment and then followed him into his room.
"Wow, i love this decoration"
"Thank you, have a seat"
Rose sat down and crossed her legs still admiring the beauty of the room.
"What can i offer you?"
"Nothing, just a glass off water"
Timothy brought a cup of water. He was wearing a singlet which he tucked in a jean trouser. He watched her drank half of the water. Rose could see his sad face from the class cup. She handed it to him and appreciated.
"You don't look good"
"I do, I'm okay"
"No, you aren't. I can tell when your are ok. Now, tell me what's troubling you?"
Rose moved down from the chair to the bed where he was sitting.
"I'm worried about you leaving this country"
"Is that all?"
"Isn't that enough reason!" Timothy's voice was a bit high.
"Calm down! I'm only leaving the country not you"
They were quiet to watch their next words before things get out of hand. Timothy looked at her and said, "Tell me where this relationship will lead us to. I love you so much that i wouldn't want to lose you"
"It will take us wherever you desire and you are not going to lose me, i promise"
"Your are forgetting one thing"
"And i love you too" Rose concluded with a smile. They gradually kissed and landed on the bed..
