The harmatan wind was very high that any married couple will still like to spend some time in bed. Students especially the prefects came to school.
Catherine was sitting alone in the classroom anticipating to see Alex because students were beginning to arrived. They will probably make mockery of her past action.
Nath and some junior students were at a distance when Karina arrived with her bag on her back. Her Christmas hair was still flying around her back like a pendulum bob.
"Please, sweep these areas properly" Nath instructed the junior student.
"Yes, Senior" He replied.
"My love!" Karina shouted and looked around if any teacher heard her. Nath turned and saw her coming with her hand in her big sweater. "Hey, Mother Christmas!" He shouted back.
"You have started, is too early for jokes oh"
"But putting a smile on your face is my first priority"
karina was beginning to enjoy the term because of what Nath had just told her. She finally came close to him and gave him a warm hug. No matter the cold weather, her body was still warm.
Catherine looked through the window and saw them hugging and holding each other's waist. Karina saw her piping from the window but didn't know who she was.
"I miss you" Nath said.
"Who is that?" Karina was still looking at the window.
"Who are you talking about?"
"The girl in your class" Karina pointed at the window. Before Nath could turn to see the person, Catherine vanished from the window.
"Oh, that must be Catherine" Nath replied.
"Catherine? She looks.. Looks.."
"Different? Or more beautiful?" Nath interrupted.
"Never mind" Karina gave him a peck and walked inside her class.

The time was 7:30am, students were standing with their friends having a conversation, probably on how they spent their Christmas. Timothy arrived in his innocent look and handsome face. He carried his bag in his hand and tucked in properly with his polished black shoes. He was just like a typical Jehovah's witness. He waved at so many students he passed on the way.
Karina was lust in thought on why Catherine was watching them through the window.
"Hi" Timothy interrupted her.
"Happy new year" Karina opened her arms for him to hug her.
"Same to you" He gave her a friendly hug.
"What of Rose and her brother?" Karina released him.
"I don't think hey will be in school today" Timothy replied.
"How do you know?"
"Because i called his sister this morning"
"You called? That means you have a phone now!" Karina was surprised.
"Yes, Rose gave it to me as a gift before she travelled"
"Hmm.. Love is speaking" Karina controlled her jealousy and smiled. They spent a quite time together before Timothy wanted to go into his class.
"Can i follow you?" Karina asked. She wanted to used the opportunity to see or talk to the strange person that was looking through the window.
"Why not?" Timothy replied and they went to SS3A.
Catherine was sitting with her face down on her locker. She could see a small potholes on the cemented floor which she occasionally use her leg to cover. Timothy recognised her when he came in with Karina. "Catherine" He called.
She raised her head up, Timothy couldn't believe her beauty.
"Hi, Timothy" She said in a low voice.
"Happy new year" He drew closer to her with Karina who was still quiet.
"Same to you" She stretched her hand to shake Timothy which she had never done since she came into the school.
"You look amazing!" He grabbed her hand. Karina began to feel rejected due to lack of attention.
"Hi, Karina" Catherine waved her hand at her.
"Welcome" Karina replied with a weak smiled. "Were you the one looking through.."
"Yes, any problem?" Catherine interrupted her smartly.
"No, no problem" She replied with a smiled.

It was time for assembly, students gathered at the devotion ground. They stared at Catherine as if she was an alien. Jerry came in a hurry as the devotion was going on. He greeted some students which he had never done before and everybody was surprised.
Catherine was still waiting for Alex. "Where is he nah?" She wondered.
