It was Sunday evening, Sandra came out from the bathroom in her new apartment provided for her by Mrs Nduka. She stood in front of the mirror as she was drying her wet skin. "How will this evening be with James?" She wondered in her mind. She dressed up and sat on her make-up table. One could induce that she was preparing for a dinner date. That was to be her first encounter with a man for the past 5 years she was swinging in the river of lesbianism. She didn't know how to compose herself, but she knew a secret of winning the heart of men-which is to smile constantly.
On the other hand, James was ready to meet Sandra. He never thought of marriage, but Sandra made him think otherwise. He wasn't too rich but he was a successful man. He was already waiting for Sandra patiently, but he didn't get worried because he knew women consumed time in preparing for a date. Within a twinkle of an eye, he saw her coming in a long blue gown. Her big round earrings were dangling on her ears. James stood up and dressed a chair backward for her to sit.
"Thank you" She appreciated and sat down.
James couldn't believe it was the same Sandra he had bee seeing, cleaning the floor of 'White Hotel'
"You look amazing" James said.
"Thank you. And you too" She smiled broadly. Of course James was attracted by her sincere and attractive smile. He ordered a waitress to bring drinks for them.
"There is something remarkable about you" James began.
"And what could that be?" She kept on smiling.
"Is your character. The way you talked to me the first time i met you in my room showed me that you have the quality of a wife"
Sandra wondered why the name 'Wife' was mention. She said, "It's just a matter of personalities and courage. Though, i never knew you took what i said that day seriously"
James held her two hands and said, "Yes, i did, that's why i want you to be the mother of my children"
Sandra withdrew her hands. She stared at him for so long.
"Yes, I'm serious, please marry me" James looked straight into her eyes...

karina didn't know how to explain the shameful scene that took place in Ben's house to anybody, even Rose. She needed to get close to Esther since she was the only one that knew what happened apart from Benjamin. She taught Benjamin will come back begging after she ignores him for some days, the way Nath did. But Ben never cared, rather he insulted her.
Jerry was beside Benjamin in the classr, he noticed that he hasn't talked to Karina since he came.
"Is anything wrong between you and Karina?" Jerry asked looking at Karina and Rose who were at another corner discussing too.
"Forget about the idiot!!" Benjamin replied also looking at them...
Rose sense that Ben and Jerry were saying something about them. She looked and Karina and asked, "How did you go yesterday?"
"Where?"
"Benjamin's house of course" Rose was still looking straight into her eyes.
"I.. I.. It was.. Just fine" Karina stammered.
"Are you sure?" Rose suspected, but Karina was silent.

Jerry couldn't just believe that Ben called Karina an idiot. He thought of it for a long time and asked. "What happened?"
"You can ask the bitch!"
"Bitch?!" Jerry was more surprise.
Rose and Karina could hear them discussing. Karina's eyes were filled with tears. Rose looked at her and said. "Ben just called you a bitch. What's going on?"
The tears finally dropped from her eyes. Rose knew something was wrong and she couldn't bear it any longer. She walked straight to Benjamin. She tapped him and asked, "What did you just call Karina?"
"And what do care?"
Ben stood before her face to face. Students were beginning to gather around.
"Listen, i can't have you insult my friend anyhow or call her names!"
"Well, i said she is a bitch and an idiot. What will you do about that?!" Ben yelled.
Karina came around and dragged Rose back in tears, while Jerry held Ben.

Karina explained everything to Rose in tears. Rose blamed her and said, "You have gotten what you wanted, i think you have learnt your lessons.."
