The atmosphere was cool and bright. Children were playing uncontrollably. Karina was yet to know what the evening will bring as she sang happily from the kitchen with a big spoon in her hand. The voice of her mother, Mrs Kate startled her which made her stop singing and listened again.
"Karina!" the mother ran inside with a paper. Before Karina retire from the kitchen to the direction of her voice which echoed all over the compound, her mother appeared in the kitchen.
"Mummy, what is it?" the big spoon was still in her hand.
"This is your WAEC result" the mother handed the paper to her and waited silently. Karina jumped up and flings the big spoon up in joy when she saw that she credited all her subjects and she hugged her mother tightly.
"I'm so happy for you my child"
"Thank you, mummy"
After the tremendous drama exhibited by the two people, the big spoon was no where to be found again. Karina began to search for it.

The principal of Uwana Government Secondary School smiled as she was going through the results of her recently graduated students. It was obvious that they did very well on their results.
Nath came into the school compound alone to collect his certificate. He was on murphty looking like a grown up adult. Students, who recognised him respected and greeted him as he moved to the principal's office. He entered.
"Igwe Nathaniel!"
"Good day, ma"
"I know what you have come for" the principal opened a chest of drawer. Nath could sense success from the look of the principal. He smiled on the chair he was sitting.
"Congratulations!" The principal handed a paper to him.
"Thank you, ma"
"I'm proud of you my son"
Nath was so happy when he saw his result. He couldn't believe his eyes. All the years he spent in school wasn't in vain.
Mrs Igwe, his mother bought him a phone immediately she saw his result.

Rose ran into Alex's room with her laptop without knocking. She shouted and placed it on the bed for her brother to see.
"Rose, what's it that you even forgot to knock before entering my room?"
"Just look at the laptop first" she replied with her hands on her waist looking at the ceiling. Alex pulled the laptop and glanced on it.
"You don't mean it!" He exclaimed looking his sister.
"Yes oh, it's true!!" Rose jumped on the bed in joy.
"I need to go to the school for our certificate" Nath said and put on his cloth.
Rose's phone rang immediately he went out. It was Timothy calling. She smiled and picked it.
"Have you seen your result?" Timothy asked.
"Yes! And i made all!"
"That's why i called too because i also credited all my subjects"
"Really? I'm the happiest person in the world!"
The line went died.

Mrs Nduka came back from work and Rose nearly pushed her down with a hug. She told her about her result and she was so happy. Alex brought them out and handed them to her in the sittingroom.
"Excellent!" the mother exclaimed.
"I hope I'm going back to USA to study" Rose asked and Alex looked at her in disdain.
"Yes, both of you will school abroad"
"I'm not going anywhere oh!" Alex shouted.

Nath found himself in Karina's house on the following day. He knocked at the door and expected Karina to open, but Desire opened the door.
"Hey, is your sister around?"
"Yes, but my mother is not around" the little boy even answered a question that wasn't asked for him.
"Go and called her"
Nath entered and stood in the parlour.
Desire did as he was told and went out immediately.
Karina wondered who the uninvited visitor is as she came out. To her surprise, she saw Nath standing in their sittingroom. She hugged him instantly.
"I don't need to ask you about your result because i believe you made it" Karina followed him to a seat.
"Yes, i did"
"What about Elizabeth, Jerry and Catherine?"
"They all made it!"
Karina shouted again in joy and silence took over. Her face changed. Nath could see it.
"What's it?"
"I'm worried"
"About what?
"About us, if we finally go into the university.."
"Don't worry, that's why i have come" Nath placed his hand on her shoulder
