Karina wondered how she will be separated from Nath if they gain admission. Nath looked at her and reassured her that they will never be separated.
"Can we go to the same university?" She asked him.
"If it's your wish, let it be done" Nath replied.
"I love you"
"I love you more"
They wanted to hug each other but the footsteps of Desire, who came inside the sittingroom prevented them.
"Mummy, is coming"
"Where is she?" Karina was inquisitive.
"She's coming"
Mrs Kate entered with a basket of foodstuffs and Nath stood up.
"Good day, ma"
"You are welcome"
Mrs Kate looked at her daughter for an explanation who Nath is.
"Mummy, he's my friend from school. He just came to ask me about my waec result"
"Is that so? Welcome. I hope you credited your subjects too"
"Yes, ma" Nath replied and smiled.
"Have you given him something to eat?" Mrs Kate turned to Karina.
"No, ma. Don't bother yourself. I was about to go" Nath interrupted the question and Karina looked at him is a way that says 'be careful oh'
"Ok, take care" Mrs Kate entered into the kitchen.
Karina followed Nath outside the compound. The mother saw them through the window of the kitchen and she shook her head. She remember her own time back in those days and she missed her husband.
Jerry's father couldn't bear the happiness of his son's successful result alone. He broadcasted it to the neighbours.
Jerry met Timothy as usual, they were in his room. Timothy had decorated his room a bit.
"Guy, how far, What next?" Jerry sat down.
"You mean about our school?"
"Yes"
"Lets pray for an admission"
"Till when?"
"By next month"
Jerry kept quiet and looked at the decorated room again.
"Who are you expecting? This one you decorated your room"
"Nobody"
"What of Rose? Yeah, that's reminds me, how will your relationship with her be since she will be traveling outside the country?"
Timothy thought for a while and said, "I don't know. Definitely she will forget me"
"What were you expecting before? She may not forget you but i don't think both of you will end up together"
Timothy looked at him in thought. He was beginning to feel rejected by Rose. Jerry watched him in thought too.
"Listen, she is a woman, she will defiantly marry before you start thinking of being a man"
Timothy was more discouraged by Jerry. He totally went silent. He needed to have heart to heart talk with Rose.
Nath got Alex's number. He called and told him to see him the next day. He needed a friend to talk to about several things that bothered him.
On the following day, Alex located Nath's house. He was received by Mrs Igwe and directed into Nath's room.
"Xup guy?" Alex shook hand with him.
"Welcome, Mr Man"
They laughed.
Alex saw a room not too modernized like his. He could see old calendars hanging on the walls. He sat down on the carpet.
"Why did you call me?"
"Let me offer you something first"
"No, I'm okay"
Silence took over. Nath looked at him and said, "I have no doubt that we will get admission by next month.."
"Ofcouse we will. But what are you trying to say?"
"What's your plan with you and Catherine?"
Alex was surprise about the question. They founded themselves thinking like grown ups. It was obvious that they were beginning to leave teenage life or think like teenagers. Though, they were one more year to swim in the adult stage except Karina, who will be 19.
"I really don't know, that's why i don't want to travel to USA" Alex replied.
"I'm worried about Karina"
"Why?" Alex paid more attention.
"Though, we put the same university but i feel like she will leave me at last"
"Guy, she's a woman. What do you think? But have you had sex with her?"
"No, she never spoke of it. Though, I'm not bothered, all i want is her love and care" Nath looked at Alex. "Have you done it with Catherine?" He asked.
Alex nodded his head positive and they smiled.
"Listen, guy, if Karina loves you very well she won't leave you. Just stick with her. But i don't know of marriage"
