The term was getting to the brim. Students were getting ready for all sort of activities like football competition. The 1st October match-pass which Uwana Government Secondary School participated was recorded as one of best skuls that did very well.
Karina noticed that Nath doesn't give her attention since the day she practically rejected to satisfy him on bed. She was looking dull and helpless in the class when Rose came in with Timothy with their hands on their shoulders.
"Why are you looking very dull today?" Rose untied her hand from Timothy's shoulder and sat down with her. Karina wanted to respond but she looked at Timothy which Rose understood and told him to excused them. Timothy went out. "See you after school!" He said on his way out.
"So, tell me your problem?" Rose leaned forward.
With a low voice, Karina said, "You remember the day we attended your birthday party?" Rose nodded her head. She continued, "Nath tried to make love to me but i ran away"
"Was that why i saw you running?" Rose asked.
"Yes" Karina replied and continued, "Since then, he has been avoiding me" Her mouth was shaking in fear and sadness.
"But why Would Nath be so mean and heartless?" Rose asked rhetorically.
"Sometimes i wonder if he loves me" Karina added.
"Don't worry, i will talk to him" Rose consoled her.

Jerry was always seen with other of his friends except Timothy. They were sitting on a cemented area where the Nigerian flag was normally stands every school hour. Timothy thought he was avoiding him because of the way Rose was too close to him. He moved to the place and said, "Xup, guy" Jerry picked up a stick from the ground.
"Can i talk to you?" Timothy requested.
"What's it?" Jerry showed unconcern and his friends also didn't want to know what they were trying to discuss.
"It's about Rose and i" Timothy looked at him.
"I guess you guys are dating" Jerry wasn't smiling.
"Yes"
"You are lucky"
"Are you not upset?"
"Why should i be upset? Love is not by force" Jerry consoled himself.
"I love you, man" Timothy put his hand around his shoulder.
Nath also came around at that place. Rose and Karina watched him shook hands with Timothy and Jerry as they were passing. Nath saw them but removed his face.
"Go and meet your girl nah" Timothy told Nath.
"Just forget about her" Nath waved it off.
Rose heard it and stopped with Karina. She moved to the cemented place while Karina stood back with her hands folded. Rose dragged Nath out from the mist of Timothy and Jerry.
"What's wrong with you!" Nath yelled at Rose.
"Stop pretending as if you don't know what you are doing!" Rose yelled back.
"I don't know what you are talking about"
"Why have you been avoiding Karina?" Rose asked and Nath looked at Karina who was standing at a distance watching both of them. "I'm not avoiding her" He replied.
"Then go and talk to her" Rose demanded.
"Just free me!" Nath walked out and Karina's eyes were heavy with tears but she controlled it.

Alex had not been himself. Catherine was all he could think of. He went behind their classroom and saw her with Elizabeth. "Catherine, how are you" He put his hands in his pocket.
"How many times have i told you to leave me alone?!" Catherine roared.
"I will never leave you alone, mark my words" Alex removed his hands from his pocket.
"I will pour you this pure water if you don't get out of here" Catherine position the water very well.
"I will not get out!" Alex insisted. To Elizabeth surprise, Catherine poured the water on Alex and left immediately. Alex watched her looking wet as she left.
"I'm sorry!" Elizabeth said and ran after her.

School was over, Karina wished Nath will come and hug her and probably tell her good bye but her wish didn't come to pass.
Timothy came inside their class as Karina and Rose were about to go.
"I want to be going" Timothy hugged Rose. Karina became jealous. She looked through the window and saw Nath controlling the junior students.
"Bye girls!" Timothy left nd Karina gave him a weak smile.
