Marvelous couldn't control her tears as she walked towards the main road.
"Marvelous!" Raymond shouted and ran after her. He finally met her and wanted to hold her but she withdrew her body.
"Honey, listen to me, i never wanted to marry Emmanuella! My parents are the one forcing me" she said bitterly.
Marvelous didn't listen to him, she stopped a taxi and entered.
"Marvelous! Marvelous!!" Raymond shouted but his effort proved to be abortive.
Mr Thomson was embarrassed of what had just happened. He stood up angrily, even the wife could see it on his face. "Honey, calm down" she said.
"What's the meaning of this?!" he shouted.
Suddenly, Raymond entered looking angry too.
"Come hear my friend!" the father called him and came out from the diningroom. While Ella and Mrs Thomson were still at the table watching both of them.
"Who was that girl?!" Mr Thomson asked in a loud voice.
"I'm sorry, i was about to introduce her properly. She's the girl i want to marry, i love her so much" Raymond replied.
"What?!!" Ella exclaimed and looked at Mrs Thomson.
"What are you talking about?" Mr Thomson asked. "Ella has been the one for you right from childhood" he turned to his wife who was coming out. "Woman, better talk to your son" he concluded and went up stairs.
"Son, you need to listen to your father" the mother said and moved closer to him. "We have been friends and business partners with Mr Dickson, you and i know that. And seeing how you grew up with Ella, we decided to make our friendship stronger by you marrying Ella. And Ella here loves you very well"
At that time Ella came out. The mother allowed her to take over from where she stopped.
"Don't come near me!" Raymond told her and ran up stairs.
Before Marvelous could get home, Nancy was already back from Sandra's place who had already married Frank during the time Marvelous was at her youth service. Just two weeks before she came back.
"Marvelous what is it?!" Nancy asked her with baby Michael in her hands.
Marvelous couldn't talk but she wept seriously.
"Talk to me my dear that's why I'm here" Nancy persuaded.
"Aunt?" Marvelous called with a low voice. "Raymond has been cheating on me"
"Raymond? How?"
Marvelous told her all that happened that evening. Nancy kept the baby and brought her closer to her chest. "I know how you feel dear but i must tell you that you are dealing with rich families. Just take things easy" she said patting her on the back.
Alfred lived in Lagos where Amanda was also living. They were officially dating without Henry's knowledge. But Alfred wasn't tolerating her character after few weeks of their relationship.
It wasn't an illusion that Henry's wasn't from a rich family, yet, he wasn't greedy and wished Amanda will always be by his side. He picked his phone to call her.
"Hi, Henry" Amanda said from the other side of the phone. Then Henry got worried because she has never addressed her by his name before, rather she uses 'bros' which he would just laugh over and kiss her.
"Are you okay?" he asked.
"Yes"
"But it seems you are not"
"I am"
"So can i see you?"
"When?"
"Tomorrow"
"Alright"
The line went dead and Henry sensed that all wasn't well.
Frank resident was big enough to term him a rich man. Sandra sat in the parlour watching television while Choice staggered around the parlour. Sandra could remember how the marriage took place. She could remember how she was once again in a wedding gown standing at the alter with Frank.
Suddenly, Frank entered thereby interrupting her thought. She stood up to welcome him but he didn't reciprocate.
"Dear, what is it?" Sandra asked.
"Son of a bitch can get business done very well!" Frank exclaimed and began to off his cloth.
Sandra walked closer and to him. She placed her hand on his should.
"What is it?" she asked again. "Who's that person that couldn't do your business very well?"
"Stop pestering me woman!!" he shouted at her which shocked her and Choice began to cry hearing his loud voice. Frank stood up and entered into his room.
