Mr Thompson was in the parlour while his wife was at Raymond's door knocking. "Son, please open up and tell me what your problem is!" she shouted and continued knocking at the door.

　

Meanwhile, Mrs Dickson met her husband dressing up for bed. She sat on the bed looking at him, while the husband stood in front of a mirror. He saw her worried face through the mirror and asked, "Is there anything bothering you?"

"Yes, we need to talk" she replied.

"About what?"

"About our daughter"

The husband kept quiet waiting for her to continue.

"Our daughter is pregnant for Raymond" she said and the husband gradually turned.

"Are you serious?" he asked.

"Yes, a month pregnancy"

Mr Dickson quietly picked up his phone and called Mr Thompson.

"Hello, we need to talk" he said.

"I hope there is no problem" Mr Thompson asked.

"Aren't you aware that your son has put my daughter in the family way?"

"What?!" Mr Thompson exclaimed and stood up. "Please, we shall see tomorrow" he concluded and cut the call. He headed straight to where his wife was still knocking at the door. He shouted and threatened Raymond before he opened the door.

"What am i hearing" the father asked Raymond and the wife became confused.

"Honey, what is it?" she asked.

"Your son has impregnated Emmanuella"

"My goodness!" she exclaimed and looked at Raymond. "Son, is it true?" she asked.

"Mummy, I'm not responsible for that pregnancy"

"Are you sure?"

He kept quiet.

"Better get ready to marry her as soon as you never expected" the father said and turned. "Then when they come tomorrow you explain how the pregnancy isn't yours" he added as he moved down the stairs.

"Please, come and eat something first" the mother pleaded.

"I'm not hungry, mum" he replied and went back into his room.

　

Amanda had gone home when Sandra came in with Williams and Angela. There was an electricity which made the sittingroom bright and visible. All, even Marvelous sat in the parlour to discuss about the journey of Sandra and to appreciate Nancy for her good works.

"I still can't believe you are leaving me all alone here going back to Obodo oyibo" Nancy told Sandra who was sitting beside Williams.

"I will never leave you my dear" she replied.

"But you are leaving tomorrow"

"Is just for a while"

"I hope you won't forget me"

"No dear, i won't"

Everybody smiled and giggled.

"Eehm, Nancy, we just wanna appreciate you for all you have done for Sandra and her baby" Williams said. "We say a big thank you to you" he added.

"Is okay, Sandra is my friend right from high school, so she deserve it" Nancy replied.

Angela brought out a package. "Just manage this" she said and handed it to Nancy.

"For me?" she asked as she took it from her.

"Yes, for you" Angela replied.

"Wow! Thank you so much" she said and handed it to Marvelous. There was a reunion celebration between them before they left. Only Marvelous seems unhappy but smiled occasionally.

　

THE NEXT DAY

Amanda went to Henry's house where she had summoned to meet Raymond. She laid on Henry's arms as both wondered how Marvelous and Raymond's relationship is fallen apart. Amanda also told Henry what she had told Marvelous.

"How do you know?" Henry asked. "It seems like you are a play girl" he added.

"Haba! You suppose know me by now nah. I fuck men like tomorrow no dey" Amanda exhibited herself and Henry smiled knowing full well that she was joking. Suddenly, Raymond drove inside and went into the room. He found both of them in a romantic position. "Hi" Amanda he said and took a seat.

"Welcome" she replied and stood up from Henry's arms. "Marvelous has told me everything, but i want to hear from you"

"What do you want to hear?" Raymond asked without looking at her.

"Do you believe you are the one that impregnated.."

"Ella?" Raymond helped.

"Yes" she replied.

"Listen, i don't believe that i impregnated her. Though we had sex but it was only once. How is that possible?"

"Yes, it is 100% possible, but what baffles me is why she left Lagos to Anambra state"

Raymond looked at her, "What do you mean" he asked.

"Maybe she was pregnant before she came over" Amanda said and Raymond began to think how desperate Ella was to have sex even when he refused for the first time.

"It may be true" he said. "The question now is; how do i prove that?" he said.

"Through a DNA test" Amanda replied.

"But i can't wait till she delivers. My parents have agreed that i marry her very soon"

Henry, who studied medicine cleared his throat and said, "DNA paternity test is the solution"

Raymond and Amanda waited for him to explain more.

Henry continued, "A paternity test establishes a genetic proof whether a man is the biological father of an individual. It is currently the most advanced and accurate technology to determine parentage"

"Even when the baby is still in the womb?" Raymond asked.

"Yes, paternity testing can now also be perform while the woman is still pregnant from a blood draw" he clarified.
